Animation test with a knitting machine (Brother KH-860).

This knitting machine model can knit with punchcards, using this feature I made a custom punchcard and knitted it. It works as such: the machine reads the negative spaces in the card and uses the contrast colour accordingly.

I scanned the swatch and edited it with Photoshop to animate it in several ways.
