During production I was eager to work on the clothing of our puppet. My goal was to add a lot of texture to really bring the puppet to life. Her outfit consists of four parts, the sweater, pants, collar and apron.

Sweater: The fabric is a pair of knitted gloves and stitched it together by hand. Hemmed with glue.

Pants: I used a textured fabric and form-fitted it to make the pattern.

Collar: Miniature crochet with cotton thread and 0,6mm needle. and other textiles in the set.

Apron: Made from a thrifted blouse and lace trim. I hid aluminum thread in the hem and wove it in between the lace on the back. This gave us control over where the fabric layed.

Set Dressing & Building

Detail, detail and more detail! My favourite parts of the set building for our stopmotion set were the walls and miniature crochet details. To get the antique feel for the walls I made panelling using scrap woods and picture frame rods.
