During my time at St. Joost I was introduced to editorial illustration. After the first assignments I realised I loved translating an article to a fitting illustration. Over the years I started experimenting with the style and materials as well.

Political Cartoon
A political/ editorial cartoon (politieke prent) criticising the lack of innovation and communication in women's healthcare.
Albatross Comic
A comic about the Leysan albatross Wisdom and her new egg at age 74. She has layed 50-60 eggs in her lifetime. Still, this is a monumental occurance for the endangered species, since most albatrosses don't live to be older than fifty. Read the article here.
